Historical Perspective
1912 : Clark Products, Inc. Founded.
Clark was founded by John Clark in Chicago, Illinois. Established as a paper and chemical house under the name Clark Products, Clark experienced gradual but steady growth in the industry.
1976 : Clark Acquired By Present Owners
Revenues have increased more than ten-fold since 1976 due to strategic acquisitions and internal growth . The bulk of this growth has resulted from Clark's desire to become "full-line" in its distribution centers throughout the Midwest. To this end, Clark in the 1980's added refrigeration to its Chicago and Louisville facilities and acquired several existing broadliners.
